Responsibilities
- Food Preparation: prepare, cook, and present menu items per established recipes
- Hygiene & Safety: maintain a clean, organized work area and follow health & safety regulations
- Supervision & Training: assist in leading, training, and mentoring junior commis chefs and apprentices
- Stock Control: help manage inventory levels for the section, monitoring food freshness and minimizing waste
- Team Collaboration: work closely with the culinary team, communicating with senior chefs on production needs
Requirements
- Basic culinary qualification or equivalent experience
- 1-3 years' experience in a professional kitchen
- Knowledge of cooking techniques and kitchen equipment
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
