About the Role
Executive Chef at Thema Collection. Oversee the preparation, cooking, and presentation of meals for guests, ensuring high-quality dining experiences.
Responsibilities
- Oversee the preparation, cooking, and presentation of meals for guests, ensuring high-quality dining experiences
- Create and work on different cuisines
- Provide an excellent guest experience while managing food cost controls and ensuring smooth kitchen operation
- Establish unique recipes, presentation techniques, and maintain high quality standards
- Monitor the budgets and ensure the expenditure limits to the budget while maintaining profit and loss records
- Monitor portion and waste control to maintain profit margins and recommend changes to maintain F&B revenue
- Enforce strict health and hygiene standards in the kitchen
Requirements
- Overall 5-8 years of experience in a similar capacity
- Professional certification in culinary operations from the Sri Lanka Institute of Tourism & Hotel Management or any other recognized institute would be an added advantage
- Aptitude and skill to work efficiently under pressure
- Be up-to-date with the latest culinary trends
- Fair knowledge in English
