About the Role
Quality Management role for an apparel/textile manufacturer in Panadura. Acts as the independent voice of the customer.
Responsibilities
- Act as the independent voice of the customer by organizing meetings, sharing product information, addressing quality-related issues, and influencing stakeholders to meet customer guidelines and technical parameters for quality audits
- Identify and drive process improvements in the manufacturing facility using new technologies to enhance quality management standards
- Conduct training sessions for Customer Certified Auditors to ensure teams remain updated on customer requirements, and implement preventive measures in quality engineering while ensuring effective communication during Pre-Production and Manufacturing Activities
- Collaborate with various managers to improve processes and maintain product quality standards, monitor team performance for skill development, and work with subcontracted quality teams to articulate and implement customer guidelines
- Develop SOPs and standard work instructions to streamline operations and ensure adherence to customer and consumer requirements
Requirements
- A degree in Engineering, Statistics, or Mathematics
- 4-5 years of experience in a similar role in the apparel industry
- Product-oriented with strong attention to detail
- Knowledge in Power-BI
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Strong analytical skills with an innovative mindset
