About the Role
Costing Accountant role for a garment manufacturer in Panadura. Prepare style-wise post costing sheets for manufactured products.
Responsibilities
- Prepare style-wise post costing sheets for manufactured products calculating material cost, labor cost and manufacturing overhead
- Verify bills of Material with the standard cost sheet
- Prepare variance analysis report between standard and actual costs
- Prepare inventory reconciliation and valuation
- Participate in cycle stock counting programs
- Prepare financial and operational reports for management in timely manner
Requirements
- AAT completed or part qualification in CA / CIMA / CMA with minimum 3 year of experience in costing, finance, and manufacturing accounting
- Prior experience in apparel manufacturing will be an added advantage
- Experience in post costing and MIS reporting is an added advantage
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and ERP systems
- Strong Costing and operational finance skills
- GCE Advanced Level in Mathematics or Biology stream is preferred
