About the Role
Assistant Branch Managers at Pan Asia Bank, Colombo Branches.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate with the Regional Office and Head Office to ensure smooth branch operations in the absence of the Branch Manager, and carry out duties assigned by the Branch Manager
- Oversee cash management operations, including local and foreign currency handling, ATM operations, daily balancing, and adherence to insurance requirements
- Monitor the quality of customer service delivered by operations staff, intervening where necessary to resolve issues promptly and professionally
- Ensure full compliance with KYC, AML, and FIU requirements, including timely and accurate CBSL reporting where applicable
- Coordinate and support branch-level marketing campaigns to canvass new business and expand the customer base
Requirements
- Full or part qualification in Banking from the Institute of Bankers of Sri Lanka (IBSL)
- Minimum of 8-10 years of experience in commercial banking, including 3-4 years in branch operational functions
- In-depth knowledge of banking policies and procedures, operational processes, foreign exchange transactions, regulatory compliance, and internal controls
- Strong marketing and sales orientation with sound business acumen
- Excellent communication skills with a strong flair for public relations and stakeholder management
