About the Role

Experienced sous chef needed at a resort in Kitulgala, with expertise in eastern and western cuisine, menu planning, and kitchen team leadership. Accommodation provided.

Responsibilities

• Supervise kitchen operations and lead culinary team
• Manage menu planning, recipe costing, and food cost control
• Ensure food quality and hygiene standards are maintained
• Oversee Cold Kitchen and Garde Manger sections
• Mentor junior kitchen staff

Requirements

• Diploma in Cookery or advanced cookery course from Sri Lanka Institute of Tourism & Hotel Management
• 3-5 years of experience in similar hotel roles
• Expertise in eastern and western cuisine preparation
• Knowledge of menu planning, recipe costing, food cost control, and hygiene standards
• Leadership capability for kitchen teams
• Retired candidates considered
