About the Role
Experienced sous chef needed at a resort in Kitulgala, with expertise in eastern and western cuisine, menu planning, and kitchen team leadership. Accommodation provided.
Responsibilities
- Supervise kitchen operations and lead culinary team
- Manage menu planning, recipe costing, and food cost control
- Ensure food quality and hygiene standards are maintained
- Oversee Cold Kitchen and Garde Manger sections
- Mentor junior kitchen staff
Requirements
- Diploma in Cookery or advanced cookery course from Sri Lanka Institute of Tourism & Hotel Management
- 3-5 years of experience in similar hotel roles
- Expertise in eastern and western cuisine preparation
- Knowledge of menu planning, recipe costing, food cost control, and hygiene standards
- Leadership capability for kitchen teams
- Retired candidates considered
