About the Role
Factory Manager at Basilur Tea Export in Colombo to lead all manufacturing, maintenance, and blending operations for a global luxury tea brand.
Responsibilities
- Direct production, maintenance, and blending operations
- Lead multi-function teams and set performance standards
- Manage factory budget and capital expenditure
- Ensure consistent product quality and food safety compliance
- Implement continuous improvement initiatives
- Establish and monitor KPIs (OEE, yield, downtime, waste)
- Maintain a safe working environment
Requirements
- 12+ years manufacturing/production experience at plant manager level
- Degree or Diploma in Production/Industrial Management, Food Technology, or Engineering
- Food safety audit accountability experience
- LEAN/5S implementation track record
