Assist the chef de partie in managing kitchen sections at Tasty Caterers, maintaining quality food preparation and contributing to the culinary team's success at this leading Sri Lankan catering company.
Responsibilities
- Assist Chef de Partie in managing assigned kitchen section
- Prepare and present dishes to required quality standards
- Supervise junior kitchen staff as directed
- Maintain food hygiene and safety standards
- Control food portions and minimize wastage
- Ensure mise en place is complete before each service
Requirements
- Hotel school qualification or culinary background
- Previous experience as commis or junior chef position
- Knowledge of hot or cold kitchen techniques
- Food safety and hygiene compliance
- Team player with desire to develop culinary career
