Consultant - Coordinator

About the Role

Coordinate medical consultant scheduling and patient services at Ninewells Hospital in Colombo 5 — manage consultant appointment bookings, liaise between patients and specialist doctors, handle patient inquiries, and ensure smooth outpatient clinic operations.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and manage specialist consultant appointment schedules
• Liaise between patients, specialist doctors, and hospital departments
• Handle patient inquiries in person and via telephone
• Maintain accurate patient records and appointment logs
• Ensure smooth operation of outpatient clinics
• Support consultant sessions and manage patient flow
• Prepare reports on clinic activity for hospital management

Requirements

• Degree or diploma in Healthcare Administration, Business, or related field
• Experience in a hospital or healthcare administrative role preferred
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced hospital environment
• Proficiency in MS Office applications
• Pleasant personality with strong customer service orientation
