Supply Chain Manager – Automobile Industry

About the Role

Lead end-to-end automotive supply chain operations including procurement, production planning, inventory management, and logistics for Abans Auto's automobile business in Colombo.

Responsibilities

• Oversee end-to-end automotive supply chain including procurement, production planning, inventory, and logistics
• Drive cost optimization across sourcing, manufacturing, and logistics
• Manage strategic sourcing of automotive components and OEM partnerships
• Ensure on-time, in-full (OTIF) delivery to dealers and customers
• Lead Sales & Operations Planning and demand forecasting
• Implement ERP/SAP systems and digital supply chain solutions
• Drive continuous improvement and lean manufacturing practices

Requirements

• Degree in Supply Chain Management, Mechanical or Industrial Engineering, or related field
• 8–10 years in supply chain management within the automobile industry
• Minimum 3 years in a managerial role
• Strong exposure to automotive manufacturing and supplier ecosystems
• Experience with import sourcing and export/distribution
• ERP/SAP system familiarity
• MBA or postgraduate qualification preferred
