Design Engineer

About the Role

Design and validate structural and civil engineering deliverables for pre-engineered steel building and construction projects, providing technical support from tender stage through construction.

Responsibilities

• Ensure accuracy and completeness of design deliverables compliant with BS/Eurocodes
• Provide technical input on designs to support commercial proposal preparation
• Conduct design validation and calculations with optimisation for cost/material savings
• Maintain accuracy and revision control of drawings and documents
• Resolve design-related issues promptly
• Support Pre-Engineered Steel Buildings projects during design and construction phases
• Attend tender meetings and coordinate with Quantity Surveyors and Project Managers

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering
• 3–5 years of civil and steel structure design experience in construction
• Proficiency in STAAD.Pro, Tekla Structures, AutoCAD, Revit
• Strong negotiation and analytical skills with interpersonal abilities
• Ability to prioritise and meet tight deadlines
