Maintenance Engineer – Mechanical (Biomass)

About the Role

Senior mechanical maintenance engineer for a biomass power plant in Dehiattakandiya, responsible for preventive and predictive maintenance of boilers, steam turbines, and rotating equipment.

Responsibilities

• Conduct inspections and preventive/predictive maintenance on mechanical systems
• Diagnose and repair mechanical failures with root cause analysis
• Maintain records, logs, and CMMS updates
• Coordinate across departments for plant operations
• Ensure HSE compliance and perform risk assessments
• Implement condition-based maintenance

Requirements

• B.Sc. in Mechanical Engineering from an accredited institution
• Minimum 5 years mechanical maintenance experience
• Knowledge of boilers, steam turbines, pumps, valves, condensers, gearboxes, conveyors
• CMMS familiarity
• Biomass plant experience preferred
