About the Role

Entry-level trainee barista at MA Cafe Borella in Colombo with full on-the-job training in specialty coffee, milk steaming, and latte art over a 3-6 month programme.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with experienced baristas on espresso drinks and specialty beverages
• Master milk steaming and decorative latte art techniques
• Support food preparation and cafe operations
• Deliver attentive customer service and order management
• Uphold cleanliness and food safety protocols
• Handle inventory and complete opening/closing procedures

Requirements

• No prior barista experience required
• Genuine enthusiasm for coffee and hospitality
• Positive, collaborative mindset
• Fluency in English; Sinhala or Tamil preferred
• Availability for weekend and holiday shifts
• Commitment to 3-6 month training period
