About the Role
Junior Commis 2 Chef position at Coco Veranda restaurant in Colombo 7. Requires proficiency in Sri Lankan and Chinese cuisine. Salary LKR 90,000-110,000/month.
Responsibilities
- Prepare Sri Lankan dishes including rice and curry, kottu, hoppers, and short eats
- Prepare Chinese cuisine including wok dishes, stir-fry, sauces, and deep-fry
- Maintain kitchen hygiene and food safety standards
- Support senior chefs in daily kitchen operations
Requirements
- Minimum 1 year of kitchen experience
- Knowledge of Sri Lankan and/or Chinese food preparation
- Basic knife skills and mise en place understanding
- Understanding of food hygiene and kitchen safety
- Ability to work under pressure as part of a team
- Punctuality and reliability
