About the Role

Junior Commis 2 Chef position at Coco Veranda restaurant in Colombo 7. Requires proficiency in Sri Lankan and Chinese cuisine. Salary LKR 90,000-110,000/month.

Responsibilities

• Prepare Sri Lankan dishes including rice and curry, kottu, hoppers, and short eats
• Prepare Chinese cuisine including wok dishes, stir-fry, sauces, and deep-fry
• Maintain kitchen hygiene and food safety standards
• Support senior chefs in daily kitchen operations

Requirements

• Minimum 1 year of kitchen experience
• Knowledge of Sri Lankan and/or Chinese food preparation
• Basic knife skills and mise en place understanding
• Understanding of food hygiene and kitchen safety
• Ability to work under pressure as part of a team
• Punctuality and reliability
