Manager - Credit Risk

About the Role

Leads credit risk assessment and SME loan portfolio management at SDB Bank head office, ensuring regulatory compliance with CBSL, IFRS 9, and Basel III/IV frameworks.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate credit applications and manage credit risk per organisational policy
• Conduct qualitative and quantitative borrower analysis
• Develop and maintain risk rating systems, stress testing, and scenario analysis
• Monitor SME lending portfolio performance and support lending benchmarks
• Ensure compliance with CBSL regulatory requirements

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, or equivalent professional qualification
• 10-12 years of experience in SME lending within banking or financial sector
• Strong knowledge of CBSL regulatory requirements and banking products
• Understanding of IFRS 9 and Basel III/IV frameworks
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
