Legal Manager

About the Role

Senior legal professional to manage all legal affairs of the Richardson Group, including contracts, compliance, corporate governance and dispute resolution across its multi-sector subsidiaries.

Responsibilities

• Draft, review and negotiate commercial contracts across group companies
• Advise senior management on legal risks and regulatory compliance
• Manage litigation and liaise with external legal counsel
• Ensure corporate governance and statutory compliance across subsidiaries
• Handle employment law matters and HR-related legal issues
• Support mergers, acquisitions and joint venture agreements
• Maintain corporate legal documentation and records

Requirements

• Attorney-at-Law or LLB with admission to the Bar
• Minimum 7 years of legal experience, preferably in a corporate/in-house role
• Strong knowledge of Sri Lankan commercial, contract and company law
• Experience in the engineering, construction or manufacturing sector is an advantage
• Excellent drafting, negotiation and communication skills
