About the Role

Experienced hot-kitchen chef specialising in Chinese and Sri Lankan cuisine for a busy catering and restaurant business with takeaway operations in Colombo.

Responsibilities

• Prepare high-quality Chinese and Sri Lankan food items
• Handle pastry fillings and dessert production support
• Oversee hot-kitchen operations including food prep, cooking, and plating
• Manage takeaway orders and 60-seat restaurant service
• Uphold kitchen hygiene and food safety standards
• Lead kitchen staff when necessary
• Ensure timely service with quality presentation

Requirements

• Previous Hot Kitchen Chef experience required
• Strong knowledge of Chinese and Sri Lankan cuisine
• Pastry filling experience preferred
• Minimum 4 years experience
• Diploma-level education
• Leadership and time-management skills
• Food safety and hygiene knowledge
