Design Senior Engineer

About the Role

Lead mechanical design from conceptual through detail phases, perform FEA and hydraulic/pneumatic circuit design, and mentor junior engineers in a tire manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

• Conduct feasibility studies evaluating solutions across cost, timeline, risk, and safety
• Lead design phases from conceptual through parametric 3D, detail design, prototyping, and testing
• Perform or support FEA studies for static, dynamic, flow, and thermal analysis
• Design hydraulic and pneumatic circuits
• Implement quality systems including DFMEA and design reviews
• Mentor less experienced team members

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent
• Minimum 4 years of relevant experience, preferably in manufacturing
• Strong CAD expertise (mandatory)
• SolidWorks experience (advantageous)
• Excellent English and Sinhala communication skills
