Medical Laboratory Technician

About the Role

Laboratory technician to support clinical testing and diagnostics at Hemas Hospitals' Thalawathugoda and Wattala facilities.

Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostic laboratory tests including haematology and biochemistry panels
• Collect and process patient specimens accurately
• Operate and maintain laboratory instruments and equipment
• Document and report test results within defined turnaround times
• Follow infection control and laboratory safety protocols
• Support quality assurance and accreditation processes

Requirements

• Diploma or Degree in Medical Laboratory Technology or equivalent
• Registration with Allied Health Sciences Council of Sri Lanka preferred
• Hospital or diagnostic lab experience is an advantage
• Attention to detail and ability to work under pressure
• Good English proficiency for documentation
