Structural Engineer

About the Role

Lead structural design and analysis for building and harbour/marine infrastructure projects at China Harbour Engineering's operations in Matara, Sri Lanka.

Responsibilities

• Conduct structural analysis, design, and design reviews for building and harbour projects
• Develop and review structural calculations and engineering drawings
• Prepare and validate structural design reports and documentation
• Ensure compliance with international design codes and project specifications
• Utilize structural analysis software (SAP2000, ETABS)
• Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams for cost-effective engineering solutions

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering (mandatory)
• Master's in Structural Engineering (preferred)
• Minimum 5 years post-qualification experience in structural design
• Experience in building structures or harbour/marine structures
• Proficiency in SAP2000, ETABS, and related structural software
• Knowledge of international structural design standards
• Strong analytical and technical communication skills
