Quantity Surveyor / Estimator (QA/QC)

About the Role

Prepare takeoffs, estimates, bills of quantities, and QA reviews for Australian construction projects, using industry-standard estimating software from Kadawatha, Sri Lanka.

Responsibilities

• Develop accurate quantity assessments from construction drawings
• Conduct quality assurance reviews of estimates and bills of quantities
• Create detailed cost projections and tender submissions
• Communicate with Australian clients, vendors, and project teams
• Flag discrepancies and suggest financially efficient alternatives
• Maintain estimating quality standards and meet deadlines

Requirements

• Degree in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, or equivalent field
• Strong English communication skills (mandatory)
• Proficiency with construction drawings and BOQs
• Estimating software experience (CostX, Bluebeam, Buildxact, PlanSwift, or Cubit)
• Prior involvement with Australian or international construction projects preferred
• Detail-oriented with a QA/QC focus
