About the Role
PHP/Laravel backend engineer role building web applications and RESTful APIs at an Australian-owned software firm in Colombo.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain web applications using PHP and Laravel framework
- Design and implement scalable backend systems and RESTful APIs
- Collaborate with frontend developers, designers, and project teams
- Conduct code reviews and uphold PHP/Laravel coding standards
- Contribute to technical architecture discussions and documentation
Requirements
- Proven commercial PHP development experience (Laravel preferred)
- Strong knowledge of MySQL databases and RESTful API design
- Proficiency with Git version control
- Good communication skills and ability to work collaboratively
- Portfolio or demonstrable PHP project experience
