Material Engineer - Batticaloa Project

About the Role

Civil engineer conducting construction material testing and inspection for an active project in Batticaloa province.

Responsibilities

• Conduct material testing and inspection for ongoing civil construction projects
• Develop and implement QA/QC procedures and inspection plans
• Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly QA reports and maintain documentation
• Liaise with project engineers, site teams, and clients on quality non-conformance issues
• Ensure all materials and workmanship comply with project specifications and national standards

Requirements

• BSc in Civil Engineering from a recognized university
• 2-4 years of experience in material engineering or QA/QC roles in construction
• Thorough knowledge of construction materials testing standards (ASTM, BS, SLS)
• Willingness to be stationed at the Batticaloa project site
• Strong reporting and communication skills in English and Sinhala/Tamil
