About the Role

QS role preparing BOQs, tender documents, and cost plans for building design projects at a consultancy in Negombo.

Responsibilities

• Prepare bills of quantities and detailed cost estimates for building design and construction projects
• Compile tender documents and assist in evaluating contractor bids
• Measure and value completed construction work and issue payment certificates
• Manage project cost control and produce monthly financial progress reports
• Coordinate with architects, structural engineers, and contractors on cost and contract matters

Requirements

• BSc or HND in Quantity Surveying or Civil Engineering from a recognized institution
• Minimum 2 years of quantity surveying experience, preferably in a consultancy or design office
• Proficiency in BOQ preparation and AutoCAD measurement reading
• Good working knowledge of construction contracts (ICTAD, FIDIC)
• Strong analytical skills and ability to manage multiple project assignments
