Tinker Technician / Paint Technician

About the Role

Automotive body repair and spray painting technician role at Toyotsu Lanka service centres in Wattala and Yakkala.

Responsibilities

• Perform vehicle body panel straightening, dent removal, and structural repair to OEM standards
• Prepare vehicle surfaces through sanding, priming, and masking prior to paint application
• Apply paint and finishing coats using spray equipment to achieve factory colour-match quality
• Inspect all finished bodywork and carry out necessary touch-ups before vehicle handover
• Maintain workshop tools, spray booths, and equipment in clean and operational condition

Requirements

• NVQ Level 3/4 or a recognized trade certificate in Motor Vehicle Body Repair or Automotive Refinishing
• 2-4 years of hands-on experience in vehicle body repair or automotive spray painting
• Ability to operate modern frame-straightening, panel-beating, and spray-painting equipment
• High attention to detail and commitment to quality finishing
• Willingness to work at either the Wattala or Yakkala service centre
