Welder / Fabricator

About the Role

Industrial welder and fabricator role manufacturing conveyor systems and metal structures using MIG, TIG, and arc welding at Kelaniya.

Responsibilities

• Perform welding and fabrication of industrial conveyor systems, material-handling equipment, and metal structures
• Read and interpret engineering drawings, work orders, and fabrication specifications
• Carry out precision cutting, bending, drilling, and assembly of metal components
• Inspect completed welds and fabrications against quality standards and tolerances
• Maintain welding machines, tools, and ensure a safe and clean workshop environment

Requirements

• NVQ Level 3/4 or a recognized trade certificate in Welding and Fabrication
• 2-4 years of experience in industrial welding and structural or mechanical fabrication
• Proficiency in at least two welding processes (MIG, TIG, or arc)
• Ability to accurately read and work from technical engineering drawings
• Physically fit and able to work in an industrial manufacturing environment
