Mechanical Foreman

About the Role

Mechanical maintenance foreman supervising roll-forming machinery upkeep and breakdown repair at a roofing products factory in Ekala.

Responsibilities

• Supervise mechanical maintenance activities for all roofing-product manufacturing machinery at the Ekala plant
• Plan and implement preventive maintenance schedules to minimize unplanned downtime
• Troubleshoot and repair mechanical and electro-mechanical breakdowns promptly
• Coordinate with production supervisors to plan maintenance windows without disrupting output targets
• Maintain maintenance logs, spare-parts inventory, and equipment history records

Requirements

• NVQ Level 5/6 or a trade certificate in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent qualification
• 3-5 years of experience in mechanical maintenance within a manufacturing environment
• Experience with roll-forming, press, or sheet metal processing machinery is an advantage
• Basic knowledge of PLC programming, hydraulics, and pneumatics
• Proven leadership and supervisory ability with a safety-first mindset
