About the Role
Manage a hot kitchen section and oversee commis chefs at MJF Group's premium Colombo 7 venue. Requires knowledge of Sri Lankan cookery and 2+ years hotel or restaurant experience. Deadline July 17, 2026.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and present hot kitchen dishes to high standards
- Manage a section of the kitchen and oversee commis chefs
- Ensure food quality, consistency and presentation
- Maintain food hygiene and safety protocols
- Assist Head Chef with menu development
- Control food waste and portion sizes
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years experience in a star-class hotel or reputed restaurant
- Good knowledge of Sri Lankan cookery
- Diploma in cookery or equivalent qualification
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced kitchen
