About the Role

Permanent government legal officer post at the Department for Registration of Persons, providing legal support for identity registration administration, regulatory compliance and statutory obligations.

Responsibilities

• Provide legal advisory services to the department
• Draft legal documents, correspondence and opinions
• Ensure regulatory and statutory compliance related to persons registration
• Handle legal matters arising from identity registration processes
• Support inter-agency legal coordination

Requirements

• Sri Lankan citizenship
• LLB degree or equivalent from a recognized university
• Attorney-at-Law status (preferred)
• Government Executive Service Grade III eligibility
