About the Role

Senior specialist medical consultant position at a university-affiliated hospital, responsible for expert clinical care, patient management, and supporting junior medical staff.

Responsibilities

• Provide specialist consultation and advanced clinical care to patients
• Supervise and mentor junior medical officers and interns
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary healthcare teams on complex cases
• Contribute to teaching and training in the university hospital environment

Requirements

• MBBS with recognised postgraduate specialist qualification (MD, MS, or equivalent)
• Full registration with the Sri Lanka Medical Council
• Specialist board certification where applicable
• Relevant clinical experience in a specialist area
