About the Role

Internship in LSEG's Business Services division in Colombo, supporting global financial accounting, balance sheet reconciliations, and reporting on UK business hours.

Responsibilities

Process financial transactions in general ledger and reporting modules with accuracy verification
Shadow experienced team members on operational accounting tasks
Prepare and validate balance sheet reconciliations
Ensure compliance with LSEG group policies and regulations
Support continuous improvement initiatives within the finance team
Assist with monthly and weekly financial reports

Requirements

Currently pursuing or early-stage Finance degree or professional qualification (ACA, CIMA, or ACCA)
Core accounting knowledge and principles
Microsoft Office proficiency
Ability to work UK business hours
Strong attention to detail, communication, and relationship-building skills
