Trainee Barista

About the Role

Entry-level barista trainee at MA Cafe Borella, Colombo. Full training provided over 3–6 months with advancement to Barista. No prior experience required.

Responsibilities

• Assist senior baristas in crafting espresso drinks and beverages
• Learn espresso extraction, milk texturing, and latte art under guidance
• Support food preparation and cafe operations
• Take accurate customer orders and deliver service
• Maintain hygiene and cleanliness standards
• Handle stock management and opening/closing duties

Requirements

• Strong interest in coffee and hospitality
• Friendly demeanor with eagerness to learn
• Good communication skills — English and Sinhala/Tamil preferred
• Ability to thrive in fast-paced team settings
• Availability for weekend and holiday shifts
• No prior experience necessary — full training provided
