Manager - Credit Risk

About the Role

Evaluate credit applications and manage credit risk in line with the bank's Credit Policy and Risk Appetite, conducting detailed financial analysis, developing risk rating systems, and ensuring full compliance with CBSL, Basel III/IV, and IFRS 9 frameworks.

Responsibilities

• Support credit risk identification, measurement, monitoring, and mitigation functions
• Conduct detailed financial analysis and assess borrower creditworthiness
• Develop and maintain risk rating systems, stress testing, and scenario analysis models
• Ensure compliance with CBSL regulatory frameworks, Basel III/IV, and IFRS 9
• Guide and mentor credit officers and credit analysts
• Make sound credit decisions aligned with organization's credit policy and risk appetite

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, or equivalent professional qualification
• 10 to 12 years SME lending experience in the banking or financial sector
• Strong knowledge of credit risk principles and industry best practices
• Financial statement analysis, collateral management, and provisioning expertise
• Familiarity with CBSL regulatory requirements and IFRS 9
• Proven leadership experience with team management capabilities
