Field Officer

About the Role

Support milk procurement and farmer engagement across Ampara, Vavuniya, or Nuwara Eliya districts for Pelwatta Dairy, expanding supplier networks and maintaining quality standards.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain strong relationships with dairy farmers and milk suppliers
• Support milk procurement and ensure collection targets are achieved
• Monitor procurement performance and market trends within assigned territory
• Expand dairy supplier networks by recruiting new farmers
• Maintain milk quality standards throughout procurement
• Coordinate dairy development projects and farmer training initiatives

Requirements

• Higher National Diploma or Full-Time Diploma in Animal Husbandry, Agriculture, Dairy Science, or related field
• 1-2 years relevant experience in dairy development, milk procurement, or agricultural extension services
• Knowledge of dairy farming practices and milk collection operations
• Willingness to travel extensively
