Automation Senior Engineer

About the Role

Establish and enhance machinery automation standards, improve equipment reliability, and drive the plant's digitization roadmap at Michelin's Sri Lanka manufacturing facility.

Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with machine technical documentation and safety procedures
• Execute maintenance instructions including setup, calibration, and adjustments
• Improve machine availability and reliability while maintaining optimal costs
• Build maintenance team competencies through coaching and training
• Liaise with Digital Leader and drive the plant's digitization roadmap

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Mechatronics or Electrical Engineering
• Minimum 4 years of automation/electrical engineering experience
• Proficiency in PLC programming (Rockwell/Allen-Bradley and Siemens)
• HMI configuration expertise with Rockwell systems
• Variable Frequency Drives and Motion Control technology knowledge
• Robotics maintenance and troubleshooting skills
