About the Role

Oversee mechanical, civil, and electrical maintenance of plants and buildings at Scandinavian Tobacco Group's Biyagama facility, ensuring reliable utility supply and continuous production operations.

Responsibilities

• Plan, supervise, and execute maintenance operations across mechanical, civil, and electrical systems
• Guarantee continuous utility supply (electricity, compressed air, HVAC)
• Diagnose faults and implement preventive measures
• Lead maintenance teams and coordinate cross-departmental efforts
• Drive improvement initiatives focused on maintenance reliability
• Ensure workshop safety and organization compliance

Requirements

• Diploma in Electrical, Mechanical, or Civil Engineering (NVQ Level 5)
• Minimum 5 years plant and building maintenance experience
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving capabilities
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, MS Office, and SAP
• Knowledge of Lean and TPM methodologies (advantageous)
• English and Sinhala communication fluency
