About the Role

SLIIT invites applications for an Assistant Professor (tenure track) in the Faculty of Computing. The role involves teaching, research, and curriculum development at undergraduate and postgraduate levels. Closing date: July 31, 2026.

Responsibilities

• Deliver lectures and practical sessions at undergraduate and postgraduate levels
• Conduct and publish original research in reputed journals
• Supervise final-year projects and postgraduate theses
• Develop and update course content and curricula
• Contribute to departmental administration and accreditation activities

Requirements

• PhD in Computer Science or related field (mandatory)
• First or Second Class Honours bachelor's degree in relevant discipline
• Minimum 6 years of proven experience in teaching, research or industry practice
• Strong research publication record in peer-reviewed journals
• Ability to contribute to postgraduate supervision and funded research
