Academic Staff – Gemmology Education

About the Role

CAGS Academy seeks enthusiastic academic staff to support gemmology lectures, practical sessions, lab activities, and curriculum development. Salary: LKR 45,000-60,000/month. Closing date: August 10, 2026.

Responsibilities

• Support lectures and practical sessions in gemmology
• Assist in conducting student evaluations and lab exercises
• Develop and refresh course materials aligned with international standards
• Guide students in career development within the gem industry
• Participate in curriculum enhancement initiatives

Requirements

• Gemmology diploma (Gem-A, GIA, or DGemG) preferred
• Degree in Science, Applied Science, or Education
• Minimum 1 year experience in gem or gemmology education (advantageous)
• Strong English and Sinhala communication skills
