About the Role

IBE is hiring Cambridge English Teachers and Trainee/Assistant Teachers for its Negombo and Wennappuwa branches to conduct medium group English classes (10-20 students). Closing date: July 29, 2026.

Responsibilities

• Conduct Cambridge English preparation classes for groups of 10-20 students
• Prepare lesson plans and teaching materials aligned with Cambridge curriculum
• Assess student progress through mock tests and provide feedback
• Maintain attendance and student performance records
• Collaborate with branch management on class scheduling

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or diploma in English, English Language Teaching, or Linguistics
• Cambridge CELTA/DELTA or equivalent qualification preferred
• Strong spoken and written English proficiency
• Prior teaching or tutoring experience (fresh graduates with English qualifications may apply for Trainee role)
• Availability for weekend classes
