Communications Coordinator

About the Role

Mid-level communications coordinator at a leading international humanitarian NGO, writing news and human interest stories and managing multilingual media communications.

Responsibilities

• Write original news and human interest stories with ability to meet deadlines
• Manage media and communications activities for the organization
• Maintain high-level awareness of global and regional socio-economic, political, and environmental issues
• Coordinate multilingual communications in English, Sinhala, and/or Tamil

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Journalism, Mass Communication, Development Studies, or related field
• Minimum 3 years work experience in Communications or Media position
• Strong writing ability for news and human interest stories
• Multilingual proficiency in English, Sinhala and/or Tamil
• Ability to consistently meet deadlines
