Pharmacist

About the Role

Manage dispensing operations, advise patients on drug use, and collaborate with clinical teams at St. Joseph's Hospital Negombo as a qualified Pharmacist.

Responsibilities

• Dispense prescribed medications accurately and ensure correct labeling
• Advise patients on proper drug use, dosage, side effects, and interactions
• Manage pharmacy inventory, procurement, and stock rotation
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and the multidisciplinary care team
• Maintain pharmacy records and ensure compliance with pharmaceutical regulations
• Review prescriptions for accuracy and appropriateness

Requirements

• B.Pharm (Bachelor of Pharmacy) or equivalent qualification from a recognized university
• SLMC registration as a Pharmacist
• Sound knowledge of pharmaceutical products, dispensing practices, and drug regulations
• Good communication and patient counseling skills
