Senior Chef (Head Chef)

About the Role

Samanmal Group seeks an experienced Senior Chef / Head Chef to manage kitchen operations across multiple cuisine categories at their Matara hospitality establishment. The salary is negotiable and complemented by 100% service charge, free meals, and accommodation.

Responsibilities

• Oversee all kitchen operations in collaboration with senior management
• Supervise, train, and mentor kitchen staff
• Maintain food quality and safety standards
• Prepare and oversee a multi-cuisine menu including Sri Lankan, Chinese, Indian, pasta, spaghetti, burgers, and submarines
• Control food costs and manage kitchen inventory

Requirements

• Minimum 5 years hotel and restaurant kitchen experience
• Age 35–55 years
• Strong knowledge of food quality, hygiene, and safety standards
• Leadership capability and ability to work responsibly under pressure
