Customer Service Specialist – Air Freight Operations

About the Role

Manage end-to-end air import/export shipment operations for a Canadian-based logistics team, working from Colombo on Eastern Time.

Responsibilities

Arrange cargo pickup and airline bookings
Review shipment documents
Coordinate trucking services
Prepare invoices and update job costing
Send pre-alerts to clients and destination offices
Track shipments for timely delivery
Respond to customer inquiries within the same business day

Requirements

Minimum 2 years in air import/export operations
Strong working knowledge of CargoWise (essential)
End-to-end shipment management capability
Ability to work according to Eastern Time (EST)
CIFFA and Dangerous Goods certifications are advantageous
