Manager - Credit Risk

About the Role

Lead credit risk management at SDB Bank by developing risk rating systems, conducting borrower financial analysis, and ensuring compliance with CBSL Basel III/IV and IFRS 9 standards.

Responsibilities

• Support credit risk management functions including risk identification and ongoing monitoring
• Perform detailed financial analysis of borrowers to assess creditworthiness
• Develop and maintain risk rating systems and stress-testing frameworks
• Ensure compliance with Central Bank of Sri Lanka directives and Basel III/IV standards
• Mentor and guide credit team members to build departmental capability

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, or equivalent professional qualification
• 10-12 years of SME lending experience in banking or financial sector
• Strong knowledge of credit risk principles and industry best practices
• Understanding of financial analysis, collateral management, and IFRS 9 standards
• Familiarity with banking products and their associated risk profiles
• Leadership and team management capabilities
