Trainee / Assistant Merchandiser

About the Role

Entry-level merchandising role at Sri Lanka's leading shirt manufacturer, coordinating fabric sourcing, sampling, and production workflows from design through shipment.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate designs, sampling, and production workflows
• Monitor production stages from sample creation through shipment
• Maintain inventory status with central store
• Prepare production schedules and capacity plans
• Conduct fabric inspections
• Manage internal and external communications
• Track vendor and department coordination

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Merchandising, Textiles, or equivalent
• Minimum 1-2 years experience in fabric merchandising or related field
• Proactive learner with positive attitude
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
