Accountant

About the Role

Accountant role at a Colombo company requiring Hindi proficiency, CA/ACCA/CIMA qualification and knowledge of Sri Lankan tax regulations.

Responsibilities

• Maintain accurate accounting records and financial transactions
• Manage Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable
• Perform bank reconciliations and monitor cash flow
• Process payroll and administer salary payments
• Ensure compliance with VAT, APIT, EPF, ETF, and statutory tax requirements
• Prepare monthly financial statements and management accounts

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• Professional qualification (CA Sri Lanka, ACCA, or CIMA preferred)
• Hindi language proficiency (mandatory)
• Minimum 2 years accounting or finance experience
• Knowledge of Sri Lankan tax regulations
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software
