About the Role

CAGS Academy seeks enthusiastic academic staff to support gemmology lectures, practical lab sessions, and curriculum development at their Malabe facility.

Responsibilities

Support lectures, practical sessions, and student assessments in gemmology
Develop and refresh course materials aligned with international benchmarks
Oversee laboratory activities and guide students on career directions
Participate in curriculum enhancement and program development initiatives

Requirements

Gemmology diploma (Gem-A, GIA, or equivalent) - desirable
Diploma or Degree in Science, Applied Science, or Education
Minimum 1 year experience in gem, jewellery, or gemmology education (advantageous)
Knowledge of gemstone testing equipment and lab procedures (advantageous)
Strong English and Sinhala communication abilities
Positive, can-do attitude
