About the Role
Commis Chef needed at Coco Veranda, Colombo 7, to prepare Sri Lankan and Chinese dishes and maintain high kitchen hygiene standards in a positive team environment.
Responsibilities
- Prepare Sri Lankan dishes (rice & curry, kottu, hoppers, short eats)
- Execute Chinese cooking techniques (wok dishes, stir-fry, sauces, deep-fry)
- Maintain mise en place standards
- Uphold food hygiene and kitchen safety protocols
Requirements
- Previous experience in Sri Lankan and/or Chinese food preparation
- Basic knife skills
- Food hygiene knowledge
- Reliability and punctuality
- Ability to work under pressure
