About the Role

Direct daily operations at the Hunuwala cinnamon processing facility, ensuring production efficiency, food safety compliance, and quality standards for agro-processing exports.

Responsibilities

Direct daily operations at cinnamon processing center
Develop and implement standard operating procedures
Monitor production metrics, quality standards, and KPIs
Ensure adherence to food safety, hygiene, and regulatory requirements
Lead and develop processing staff
Coordinate raw material planning and inventory control
Champion continuous improvement to minimize waste
Report operational performance to management
Manage risk mitigation and corrective actions
Support strategic planning and capital improvement proposals

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Agriculture, Food Technology, Engineering, or related field
5-8 years in manufacturing or agro-processing operations
3+ years in a management role
Cinnamon, spice, or plantation processing experience preferred
Knowledge of HACCP, ISO, SLS food safety standards
ERP experience preferred
Strong leadership and communication skills
