Senior Fabric Sourcing Developer

About the Role

Mid-senior role managing the end-to-end fabric development cycle including sourcing from international mills, supplier negotiation, and cross-functional collaboration across merchandising, product development, and production teams.

Responsibilities

• Source and develop fabrics from international mills
• Manage the complete fabric development cycle
• Collaborate with Merchandising, Product Development, Technical, and Production teams
• Evaluate fabric quality, performance, cost, and lead times
• Negotiate supplier terms and build mill relationships
• Ensure compliance with customer and sustainability standards
• Analyze market opportunities for continuous improvement

Requirements

• Diploma in Textile Technology, Merchandising, Fashion Technology, or related field
• Minimum 5 years in fabric sourcing, fabric development, or textile product development within apparel manufacturing
• Strong knowledge of woven and knit fabric construction, dyeing, and finishing processes
• Proven overseas fabric mill and supplier experience
• Understanding of fabric costing and sourcing strategies
• Familiarity with fabric testing standards and garment manufacturing
